She has worked with children and adolescents of all ages, and has also worked with children who have a diagnosis of Autism Spectrum Disorder.
Michela has experience assessing and treating a range of presentations in children and adolescents such as anxiety, depression, phobias, chronic pain, toileting difficulties, and behaviour management. She has a particular interest in attachment theory and working with families of adoptive and foster children who may have experienced disrupted attachment and early life trauma. She has come from a background in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, and utilises this as well as Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Attachment Theory, and behavioural support in treatment. In addition to psychological input, Michela believes in working with teachers and schools, and sourcing and utilising community services to further support children and their families.
